On 19-20 September, Jacek Błachut PhD, Partner at SPCG, participated in the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA) conference in Belgrade.
Mr Błachut took part in a discussion on issues fundamental to the administration of justice and criminal proceedings, i.e. the Rule Of Law and Fair Trial. The conference also featured specialist panels, including on cybercrime, tech and AI, addressing topics such as securing digital evidence in defence activities.
The ECBA is an association of lawyers specialising in criminal law. The association is completely independent and free from external influence from other bodies, organisations and institutions. It identifies current and practical issues relevant to its members and supporters across Europe on an ongoing basis. It regularly provides information on developments in specific areas of law being dealt with in Brussels. More information about the ECBA can be found here.
